Although there are currently no vacancies available AeroRescue is always on the lookout for dedicated Pilots, Aircrew and Engineers.

The minimum requirements for each role are listed below.

  • All employees must be at least 18 years of age,
  • Have a high degree of English literacy
  • Be an Australian citizen.

Engineer (LAME)
Engine/Airframe

  • Multiple group 20 licences
  • DO-328 experience preferred
  • PW-100 series qualification
  • Avionics
  • Multiple group 21 licences
  • DO-328 experience preferred
  • Special role and/or Radar/FLIR experience highly desirable

Captain Do-328

  • ATPL
  • Minimum Total Experience 2,000 Hrs
  • Minimum Command experience 1,000 Hrs
  • Minimum Turbine Hrs 100 Hrs
  • Minimum Night experience 100 Hrs
  • Minimum instrument renewals 3

First Officer Do-328

  • CPL
  • Minimum Total Experience 1,000 Hrs
  • Minimum Command experience 500 Hrs
  • Minimum Turbine Hrs 100 Hrs
  • Minimum Night experience 100 Hrs
  • Minimum instrument renewals 3

Aircraft Mission Co-ordinator

  • Commercial (preferred)/Private (minimum) Pilot License theory subjects.
  • Civil or Military airborne surveillance experience or an equivalent operational background.
  • CASA Class 2 medical
  • Flight radio operators certificate of proficiency
  • Marine radio operators certificate of proficiency
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy

(Preferred)
Airborne Radar experience
FLIR experience
SAR experience

Drop Master

  • CASA Class 2 medical
  • Flight radio operators certificate of proficiency
  • Marine radio operators certificate of proficiency
  • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy

(Preferred)
Team work experience
SAR experience
Aviation experience as a crew member

Air Search Observer

  • CASA Class 2 medical
  • Flight radio operators certificate of proficiency
  • Marine radio operators certificate of proficiency

(Preferred)
Team work experience
SAR experience
Aviation experience as a crew member

All aircrew must have the ability to pass an extensive course of ground and airborne training, which will encompass –

  • Crew resource management
  • Emergency procedures training
  • Underwater escape training
  • Dangerous goods training

In addition they must be able to pass the security requirements to hold an ASIC (Aviation security identification card).

  • Hold a current passport
