The Paspaley Pearls Group is a diverse group that operates across the globe and employs approximately 1,000 employees on three continents and in Australia. While Paspaley’s core business is pearling, the Group also has significant interests in property, agriculture, horticulture, ship repair and engineering, jewellery production, tourism and aviation.
AeroRescue is a specialist air operator who
has been selected to provide Search and Rescue (SAR) services from 5
strategic locations around Australia using state-of-the-art Dornier 328-120
aircraft.
In December 2005 AeroRescue was awarded a contract by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority for the provision of fixed wing search and rescue aircraft at various locations. An intensive implementation program has commenced which will see 4 additional SRU’s on line progressively throughout 2006 and early 2007.
The AeroRescue workforce will grow to approximately 90 specialist SAR staff and new operating bases will be opened in Perth - August 2006, Cairns - October 2006, Essendon - December 2006 and Brisbane - February 2007.
AeroRescue has a considerable infrastructure and support base surrounding it by virtue of the experience and standards within Paspaley’s aviation business unit. The management team is headed by the Group Executive – Aviation, and guides the nationwide operations of this significant aviation group.
Fleet Profile
AeroRescue operates a fleet of two dedicated SAR aircraft in support of the AMSA contract in Darwin, a Beech 200T and a Dornier Do328-120. The four other operational bases will each have a dedicated Dornier Do328-120 aircraft.
